SRK’s cousin to contest polls in Pakistan


Shah Rukh Khan‘s cousin in Pakistan, Noor Jehan, as per reports, will be contesting from the Peshawar constituency in the General Elections. A portal has quoted Noor saying that she hopes people support her in the same way they support Shah Rukh Khan.
Noor plans to contest as an independent candidate on a general seat. Noor, who is Shah Rukh’s paternal cousin, told a daily that she wants to work for women empowerment. She also reportedly professed that she’d like to focus on the problems in her constituency.
As per reports, Noor Jehan has visited SRK twice so far and the families have always been in touch.
Moreover, during a press event, Shah Rukh Khan had revealed how he wishes his kids to see Peshawar. A news agency had earlier quoted the ‘Zero’ actor saying that his family is from Peshawar and few of them still live there. He further revealed that he would love to visit Peshawar and take his children over. He added that he still has some of the greatest memories of the time he spent with his father in Peshawar, Karachi, and Lahore. And he just wishes that he could take his children there someday. He even praised the people from the region being warm and welcoming.
Well, it’s yet to decipher what Shah Rukh Khan has to say about Noor’s plans.
