Bollywood actor-producer Arbaaz Khan on Saturday had confessed to his involvement in betting during past T20 cricket seasons, according to police officials. Reports claimed that the star admitted he had been betting on cricket matches for the past five to six years, but not during the 2018 season.
This betting scandal has come at a time when Arbaaz’s superstar brother, Salman Khan has only just begun promotions for his upcoming Eid release, ‘Race 3’. Salman made it a point not to divulge any details about the same during a recent audio launch event, but a new report doing the round has an insider claiming that the family is in a ‘state of shock’.
According to a daily, a friend of the family was quoted saying that Arbaaz didn’t let the Khans know about his involvement in the betting racket. They allegedly only came to know about the same when he was summoned for interrogation.
The report also states that as Salman and father Salim give Arbaaz his “space” and don’t interfere in his personal matters, they are waiting for him to come forward and explain everything in detail.
The report further went on to claim that this latest controversy is “quite a setback.”
Meanwhile, Salman is looking forward to breaking box office records when ‘ Race 3’ hits theatres on June 15.
