Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Bharat’ has been in the news for quite some time. Recently the film made headlines as the leading lady Priyanka Chopra walked out from the project. Reportedly Priyanka opted out of the film due to personal reasons.
Soon after this, there were reports that Katrina Kaif might replace Priyanka Chopra in the film. However, now according to a report by an entertainment portal, Kareena Kapoor Khan has also been approached for the film. Salman Khan and Kareena have worked in many movies together like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Bodyguard’, and others. If these reports turn out to be true, then it will be interesting to see the Kareena and Salman back on the screen after so many years.
Meanwhile, director Ali Abbas Zafar revealed that the makers will announce the leading lady of the film soon. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Yes yes yes … we will announce the leading lady of Bharat soon.. We have been shooting Non stop and the simultaneously preparing for international schedules…”
‘Bharat’ is an official adaptation of a South Korean film titled ‘Ode To My Father’. The story is about a man who gets separated from his family during the Korean war and how he manages to reunite with them.
Produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, ‘Bharat’ will hit the screens next year on the occasion of Eid.
