Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ may have been embroiled in controversy over the issue of its release in Karnataka, but fans back home in Chennai are going crazy as their beloved superstar’s film releases today. While fans whistled and grooved in Mumbai’s Aurora Talkies as they cheered the superstar on the silver screen, Chennai takes the frenzy to another level.
Fans of the superstar took to performing Pooja and breaking coconuts in front of the film’s poster at Rohini Silver Screens in Chennai, a few others poured milk on large-sized posters of ‘Kaala’.

Thalaivar fever is not restricted to only India, as a man has been arrested in Singapore for allegedly live-streaming ‘Kaala’. According to reports, few scenes of the film were leaked from the premiere show that happened in Singapore.
‘Kaala’ marks Rajini and director Pa Ranjith’s second collaboration after their last film ‘Kabali’, which released in 2016.
