One of the Karan Johar’s ambitious projects ‘Rannbhoomi’ will star actor Varun Dhawan in the lead role. According to the latest development, Janhvi Kapoor might be seen playing the female lead in the film.
Shashank Khaitaan, who will be helming the film, reportedly had two names in mind, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor. The filmmaker has directed both the actresses earlier. Given Alia’s packed schedule, Janhvi reportedly has an upper hand to the Bhatt actress for now and might star opposite Varun in the film.
After her debut film, ‘Dhadak’, Janhvi will next be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’ which also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Karan Johar will be making a return to direction after helming his last film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in 2016. Called ‘Takht’, the film features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal in leading roles. Details about their roles and pairings have now emerged.
If reports are to be believed, Ranveer will essay the role of Dara Shukoh and Vicky Kaushal will play the self-obsessed, tyrannical Aurangzeb in the film which traces the relationship between Mughal Emperor brothers. Reports state that Alia will be paired with Vicky and Ranveer will be romancing Janhvi.
Alia and Vicky have shared screen space before this film in ‘Raazi’ which was a massive success. The buzz is Janhvi will be seen portraying the role of Nadira Banu Begum, a Mughal princess and Alia may essay Dilras Banu Begum popularly known as Rabia-ud-Daurani. Dilras is said to be Aurangzeb’s favourite queen and bore him five children.

Two of B-town’s hottest new talents Rajkummar Rao and Mouni Roy are coming together for a film which has set its sight for a big release next year. Last week it was confirmed that their film ‘Made in China’ will be clashing with Mouni’s another big-ticket film ‘Brahmastra’ as it will release on Independence Day in 2019.
Unveiling the first look of their film, Rajkummar took to Instagram and shared the poster of the movie with his fans. The actor sports a moustache while Mouni looks elegant in a green saree. The poster introduces Raghu and Rukmini in the first look.
Reportedly, Rajkummar plays a struggling Gujarati businessman who is on a journey to China with the aim to expand his business. The rib-tickling journey and lessons he learns on the way helps him become a successful entrepreneur.

5/72Neil Nitin Mukesh to act and produce brother Naman’s debut directorial venture also starring Adah Sharma
Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh’s brother Naman is all set to make his directorial debut in Bollywood with Neil and Adah Sharma in the lead. The big brother will also apparently produce the film and Naman has already started the pre-production.
Confirming the same, Neil stated that he is attempting to produce a thriller drama, which is popular in Hollywood, but hasn’t been really explored in India. He also added that they have kept their casting offbeat because they don’t want to embrace a tried-and-tested formula. He said that he would like to use his banner as a platform to showcase raw talent.
Speaking about the character she will be seen portraying in the film, Adah Sharma said that she essays the role of a fashion entrepreneur. The actress believes that style is innate to her persona. Sha also reportedly added that she has grown up watching films like ‘Me Before You’, so she instantly connected with her character that lends an emotional graph to the film.
According to the reports, the mahurat shot will be canned at Mukesh’s 25th Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The film will be majorly shot in Alibaug and Lonavla over a span of three months.
