Ever since the first look of ‘Gold’ came out, Akshay Kumar has been on the receiving end of praise from all quarters for his intriguing look. Farhan Akhtar, who happens to be one of the producers of the film took to Twitter to announce the release date of the trailer of the film. He shared a new poster featuring Akshay and the hockey team in the background and captioned it,

Laced with patriotic fervour and national spirit, ‘Gold’ features Akshay in the lead role with Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, Sunny Kaushal playing pivotal parts. The story is set against the backdrop of India winning its first gold medal in hockey as a free nation in the 1948 Summer Olympics.
2/15Akshay Kumar looks intense in the latest still of ‘Gold’
Akshay Kumar has always impressed the audience with his perfromance on the big screen. The actor is once again going to impress the audience with his performance in his upcoming film ‘Gold’. Earlier this week the makers had shared a short teaser of the film. Now the makers have shared one more still from the film.
In the new still Akshay Kumar’s character, Tapan Das is seen dishearted as he realises the grief of being ruled by the British. The makers captioned the still as “15th August, 1936- Berlin Olympics. Uss din Tapan Das ko pata chala ki apna desh ghulam ho, toh kaisa lagta hai. #Gold”.
‘Gold’ is inspired by true events and is about India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at Games of the XIV Olympiad, London. The film also stars Mouni Roy, Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Singh, Sunny Kaushal.
Directed by Reema Kagti ‘Gold’ will hit the theatres on 15th August 2018.

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Gold’ has been making all the right noises. Lately, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar shared the latest poster of the film with a meaningful caption. However, this time around, the audiences will get to see a little more of the film. The makers of the film are planning to attach a few glimpses of the Akshay Kumar starrer along with Salman Khan’s ‘Race 3’ which is set to hit the screens tomorrow.
According to reports, keeping the content under the wraps, the makers are planning to release a special unit from the film for the audiences. Directed by Reema Kagti, and produced by Farhan, the film also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Vineet Kumar Singh in lead roles. The film is slated to release on August 15, this year.

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gold’ has been in news for quite a while. If the poster of the film is anything to go by, Akshay Kumar is at his intense best as he holds the tricolour close to his heart with great pride. Farhan Akhtar, the co-producer of the film took to Twitter to release the poster of the film. He went on and captioned the image as, “All victories begin with a dream. It fills me with immense joy to present to you the official poster of #Gold, a film that is very close to my heart. Releasing 15th August.”
The film also stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Vineet Kumar Singh in lead roles. Apart from ‘Gold’, the actor will be seen next in ‘2.0’, ‘Kesari’ and ‘Housefull 4’.
5/15Akshay Kumar’s ‘Gold’ to get delayed?
The teaser of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film ‘Gold’ has created a good amount of buzz among the audience. The film is scheduled to release on August 15 this year but looks like the film might get pushed. According to recent reports, the film might get postponed due to Akshay Kumar’s demand.
According to a report by an online website Akshay Kumar who plays the lead role in ‘Gold’ has requested to makers of the film to postpone the release date. Apparently, Rajinikanth and Akshay’s much-awaited film ‘2.0’ which was slated to hit the screens on April 27 has been pushed to release on August 15. As Akshay Kumar is part of both the projects he has requested Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar to push the release of ‘Gold’ to avoid a clash.
However official announcements are yet to be made.
