Recently, a huge fire broke out on the top floor of a high rise building in Worli. All the residents were safely evacuated and were unharmed.
The actress even tweeted that she is safe and prayed for the firefighters on the site.
However, it seems that she will not be going back home soon. According to Mumbai Mirror, the security officer of the building said that the tower will be out of bounds for next 10-15 days. Though the fire brigade has completed their operations and gave clearance for the same, BEST will be checking from their end too, to ensure safety.
“Once our fire tenders were withdrawn from the spot, we had no role to play. BEST has to restore electricity and decide along with the housing society when its residents can start living in their flats. We are investigating the cause of fire and the place where the fire first broke,” said chief fire officer P Rahangdale.
Well, Deepika is not going back to her base for at least weeks.
Meanwhile, she will be soon reuniting with her ‘Piku’ co-star Irrfan Khan for her next film helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
