It is a known fact that late Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an excellent poet apart from being an ace orator and politician. He has many philosophical poems to his credit. And from the treasure, the poem titled, ‘Kya Khoya Kya Paya’ was converted into a ghazal by none other than Jagjit Singh.
Jagjit Singh not only composed for the track but also lent his voice. The album was titled, ‘Samvedna’ and featured Shah Rukh Khan along with a preface narration by Amitabh Bachchan. It was directed by Yash Chopra.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee left for his heavenly abode on Thursday, August 16, 2018. He was 93. The veteran politician was admitted to Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) last month due to some health complications.
He has been under medical supervision ever since, his health reportedly deteriorated in the last 20-hours and was apparently put on life support system. Vajpayee was admitted to AIIMS because of kidney tract infection, chest congestion and his urine output being on the lower side.
